"Education is not the learning of many facts but the training of the mind to think". Albert Einstein
Microschool - Opening Fall 2023

We're having our first open house and information session on August 1st from 4pm to 7pm. Stop by the lab at 1057 El Monte in Mountain View to check out our space and chat with our director!

Uncommonly Awesome Learning Lab is offering a project-based day school for neurodivergent students in elementary and middle school. Our program begins with a customized personal learning plan for each student which sets goals in both academic and non-academic areas. We work on team projects during the school day and offer additional coaching, tutoring, and individual practice after school. We believe in a balance of work, rest, and play to keep our minds and bodies healthy while we learn.

Our class size is limited to eight students per one teacher and we provide accommodations and modifications in all group learning using the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL). We use the Orton-Gillingham multisensory approach to teach and reinforce reading, spelling, and math skills, creating articles and exercises for each individual based on strengths, needs, and interests.

Feel free to contact director Kristin Rourke to chat or set up a tour of our lovely new space in Mountain View.

You can apply online here.

Here’s more information about the school from our June info session. We plan to have another info session in September!
